Animal shelters across the country work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome millions of animals each year. However, with an overwhelming number of stray and surrendered pets entering shelters, resources are often stretched thin. Many shelters operate at or beyond capacity, making it increasingly difficult to provide individualized care and placement for every animal in need.
At the same time, many pet parents face challenges that make it difficult to care for their beloved companions. Financial struggles, busy schedules, housing limitations, and behavioral challenges can lead to difficult decisions, sometimes resulting in surrendering pets to shelters. We recognize that many families want to keep their pets but may need additional support, resources, or temporary care to do so.
How We Help
At Doggy Paradise, we aim to bridge this gap by offering affordable daycare and long-term sanctuary care for senior and special-needs dogs. Our mission is to help pet parents keep their beloved companions by assisting when life gets overwhelming. We also partner with overburdened shelters by offering a permanent, loving space for dogs who may be harder to place due to age, medical needs, or behavioral challenges.

Save the Pitties Program
Save the Pitties is a vital program dedicated to helping pit bulls—often the most surrendered breed. Our mission is to provide these misunderstood dogs with the love, care, and resources they need to thrive.
Our program focuses on rescuing at-risk pit bulls, especially those who face the greatest challenges in finding homes. We offer them behavioral rehabilitation and nurturing environments where they can heal and grow.
We are committed to being a lifeline for at-risk pit bulls, providing them with the opportunity to live happy, fulfilling lives. With your support, we can continue to give pit bulls a second chance and help reduce the number of surrenders across the country by offering behavioral rehabilitation, fostering programs, and educational resources to the public. We believe that every dog, regardless of breed, deserves a chance to thrive in a loving environment.
Paws for Recovery Program
At Doggy Paradise, we believe in the transformative power of the bond between people and dogs. Our Paws for Recovery Program is designed to connect individuals in recovery or those struggling with mental health and addiction with the compassionate support of our dogs.
Research has shown that spending time with animals can have a profound impact on mental and emotional well-being. By offering individuals in recovery the opportunity to bond with and care for our dogs, we aim to provide comfort, emotional healing, and a sense of purpose. Our dogs offer unconditional love, acceptance, and companionship, creating a therapeutic environment that fosters growth, resilience, and recovery.
Through this program, participants will engage in activities like dog walking, grooming, and basic training, which not only helps build a strong connection but also encourages responsibility, structure, and self-confidence.
The Work Opportunity Stipend program offers individuals in recovery a chance to gain valuable work experience while helping care for our dogs. Participants assist with tasks such as dog walking, grooming, feeding, and socializing, all in a supportive environment. In return, they receive a stipend and the opportunity to develop skills that can enhance their confidence and employability. This program not only helps provide essential care for our pups but also fosters emotional healing for those in recovery. By working together with our dogs, participants gain a sense of purpose, responsibility, and pride, helping them on their journey to wellness.
